Tang Soo Do
At Scota Karate Academy, students and instructors alike prepare for the special events that dot the calendar. Each event is meticulously planned to enrich the students’ training experience, foster camaraderie, and showcase the depth of martial arts mastery.
Several times each year Scota Karate Academy holds Buddy Week, where students bring a friend with them to class. Special themes are selected such as self-defense, sword cuts or kicking. The Buddy Class begins with a dynamic warm-up led by the instructors, designed to prepare both body and mind for the challenges and triumphs of the training session ahead. Throughout the class, the dojang echoes with the sound of focused determination and supportive cheers as buddies work together to master new skills, overcome obstacles, and push each other to reach new heights of achievement. With high fives, fist bumps, and words of encouragement, buddies bid farewell, knowing that they have not only grown as martial artists but also forged lasting friendships that will endure both inside and outside the dojo.
